WAKE Hits the UK: Our High-Octane Celebration of Life Takes Flight
Something truly magical happened this spring.
WAKE, our wild, heart-thumping spectacle of life, death and transformation, crossed the Irish Sea and made its UK debut with a roar—lighting up The Peacock Theatre with Sadler’s Wells in London and Aviva Studios with Factory International in Manchester.
And wow. What a journey.
After two sold-out, award-winning runs at home, we knew WAKE had something powerful to offer. But to see it land so boldly in the UK—to feel audiences embrace it with open arms, open hearts, and standing ovations—was beyond anything we could have imagined.
Rooted in the spirit of the Irish wake as a rite of passage, WAKE is our invitation to dance in the face of change. A remix of tradition and transformation. A gathering. A release. A celebration. Think aerial artistry, Irish tap, cabaret, pole, poetry and big, beat-driven energy—all stitched together with fierce love and fierce craft.
This wasn’t just a tour. It was a moment. A connection. A pulse. From London’s West End to Manchester’s mighty new cultural home, we witnessed thousands of people come together to experience something that felt more like a ritual than a show.
To our phenomenal cast and crew: you are thunder.
To Sadler’s Wells and Factory International: thank you for believing in this beast.
And to every single person who stepped into that room with us—thank you for trusting us to hold the space.
We built WAKE to move, to travel, to evolve. And this UK chapter has sparked something big. So while the tour may be over (for now), this show is only just getting started.
And back home, another part of our story is stirring…
Because this July, RIOT returns to Vicar Street for four wild nights. It’s the original THISISPOPBABY love bomb—and you won’t want to miss it.
Until then, we hold this moment. We honour what we shared. And we keep the glitter close.
