Fishamble: The New Play Company and THISISPOPBABY PRESENTS

WHAT IF WE GET TO BE HAPPY

PHYSICS, LOVE & THE UNIVERSE

PHYSICS, LOVE & THE UNIVERSE

PROFOUND NEW WRITING FROM EMMET KIRWAN

When a Physicist takes his family on a day trip to the beach, he is forced to confront the very nature of reality itself as boundaries between science, imagination and reality begin to blur.

What If We Get To Be Happy is a new play written and performed by award-winning playwright Emmet Kirwan.

In an electrifying co-production between Olivier award-winning Fishamble and trailblazers THISISPOPBABY, lyrical virtuosity and magical realism combine to create a tender, funny and quietly epic play about Love, Physics and the Universe.

Playing as part of POPXX - THISISPOPBABY’s Twenty Year Anniversary Programme 2027-2028.

Supported by The Arts Council, Dublin City Council, Droichead Arts Centre, MicroMedia, Staycity & RTÉ Supporting the Arts.
