Written and performed by Panti, and directed by Phillip McMahon, In These Shoes? marked Panti's solo debut in the theatre. The show played to packed houses at the New Theatre, May 14th - 19th 2007 as part of the Dublin Gay Theatre Festival. It would be the start of a very exciting journey that THISISPOPBABY & Panti embarked on together.
Join the Queen of Ireland, Pandora 'Panti' Bliss for a candid and course comic lecture that gives a guided tour through the back alleys of Panti's mind. Using a mix of her trademark wit, humour and wigs Panti exposes the stories behind the many dangerous blondes who have influenced her and made her the self-made man-made woman she is today.
"wickedly funny...the show is full of belly laughs."
- The Guardian
"wickedly funny gender play."
- The Irish Times
Phillip: This was the start of a beautiful journey with Panti. We went from playing 66 seats in 2007 to selling out 200 seats over and over in 2009. In These Shoes? & Danny and Chantelle stand out as the beginning of all the fun.
Jenny: The three shows with Panti are a smashing trilogy. It would be great to do them all again in one go.
