WERK - FAT OF THE LAND
OCTOBER 9 & 16, 2010

 Following a sensational run at THISISPOPBABY, Electric Picnic;  WERK // Performance. Art. Club. returns home to the Abbey Theatre for a duo of Saturday nights during the Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival.

Performance roulette,  art installation and  subversive club – WERK is an irreverent, eclectic and fun late night cocktail of ideas, and we want to hear from YOU!

There are various areas for you to ejaculate your art. There’s a stage in the bar, a secret room, an Amsterdam window and various secluded corners where mini performances and happenings  go off like fireworks. We also have a projector to house your film, your installation, your family photo album, or your live web cam. Think big. Think fresh.

Performaces range from one to twelve minutes in length; it’s an explosion, not a meditation.

If you have a performance or show in Absolut Fringe or Ulsterbank Dublin Theatre Festival, and you think there's something in it that might suit WERK, let us know - or maybe you just want us to see your show, but you'd like to do something completely different at WERK. Fine!

Now is the time to get in touch. We are calling out to all artists and performers. We are programming two nights of mayhem and history at the Abbey Theatre, and we're looking for company.
